Dr. Diana Katsman is one of the leading fellowship-trained
Retina Surgeons in the United States of America.
Stemming from the passion to restore people’s ability to lead productive and fulfilling lives through their vision. Dr Katsman's work has been internationally recognized for pioneering medical research in the use of stem cells for retinal regeneration. This has resulted in being published across major publications and world-renowned scientific journals.

Following this, she has presented at both national and international conferences and filed patents for these breakthrough novel stem cell therapies for degenerative eye diseases.

Dr. Katsman philosophy is to truly bring an individualized and compassionate approach to maintain, preserve and restore her patients’ vision on a case-by-case basis.

The Journey
Dr. Katsman’s journey started as an undergraduate at UCLA studying Molecular biology.
This led her to pursue a PhD, researching the use of Stem Cells to restore retina vision conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, retinal strokes, and diabetic retinopathy. This resulted in obtaining a Medical Doctorate from the prestigious University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Katsman completed her ophthalmology residency training at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, which is currently ranked amongst one of the top five institutions in the nation.
​
Following this, she went on to complete a Vitreo-Retinal Disease and Surgery Fellowship at Loma Linda University, mentored by internationally renowned leaders in the field.
Dr. Katsman founded the Retina Heath Center of California to provide compassionate care for her patients, where she also continues to be involved in the development of clinical advancements and novel therapies to help her patients attain optimal results throughout their lives.
